We recognize that engaging youth in this new way requires a new way of working for many of you. As such, we will be hosting workshops providing technical and pedagogical supports and best practices to support organizations in engaging in remote models of serving youth.
Join the My Chi. My Future initiative in a connected conversation with some of Chicago’s in-school and out-of-school leaders. The discussion will delve into how organizations and schools have supported the socio-emotional health, and addressed trauma, for youth prior to remote-learning; how have organizations’ changed their strategies in response to the pandemic and current events; and how can in-school and out-of-school stakeholders work together to continue supporting the wellbeing of Chicago’s youth moving forward.

My Future.” initiative to share the new and creative ways they are virtually programming for and with youth and creating and sustaining community and togetherness, even though we are physically apart. Organizations are also eager to share, collaborate with, and learn from one another about how they have pivoted, organizationally and programmatically, to remote engagement of youth. MCMF is creating opportunities to curate and elevate this work. Look out for upcoming learning, sharing, and networking opportunities for MCMF organizations. They have years of experience designing virtual engagement for groups ranging from 2 to 200 people. In this webinar, Susan Stanton and Emma Spencer provide an in-depth walkthrough of topics including 1) intentionally choosing platforms based on purpose and key features, 2) engaging audiences with graphics, and 3) gathering analytics and engagement information from your virtual events, and they respond to questions from the community of providers who attended.
